I’m a developer based in Singapore and currently CTO at Presto Drycleaners, the country’s largest drycleaning service.I build systems that make real-world operations work better. Most of the job involves taking messy, manual workflows and turning them into software that people can actually rely on and use day to day.I’m a Rubyist at heart. I care about pragmatic engineering, shipping quickly and building software that holds up in production.I’ve spent most of my career in startups, usually working with the underdogs. A short detour into food and beverage also showed me how SMEs really operate and how poorly much of today’s technology serves them.That’s what I’m focused on now: helping SMEs use AI not as another tool bolted onto the business, but as part of how the business itself works.

I use AI tools in parts of my writing workflow on this site.Posts published here reflect my own ideas, judgment and conclusions. AI may help at the edges: tightening language, improving flow, catching awkward phrasing or helping me test whether an explanation can be made simpler and clearer.I also use AI conversationally during development of an essay, much like I would use notes, outlines or a second pair of eyes. It can be useful for pressure-testing an argument, exploring alternative structures or surfacing angles I may want to pursue or reject.What it does not do is replace authorship. The thinking, selection and final responsibility for what appears on this site are mine.
