After six years of living and working in America, I've finally moved back to Singapore to begin serving my bond. It was definitely very difficult tearing myself away from a place which I've called home for a decent chunk of my young life. After many bittersweet goodbyes and farewells, it was time to go. I would like to thank all the great friends I've made during my time in America who made me feel welcome. Y'all were welcoming, friendly and were my family away from home. I can't thank each and every single one of you enough for being so good to me.
As one door closes, another opens. I'm excited to begin a new chapter in my life and career at a Singaporean SaaS company called Hoiio! Beginning this month, I began work as a Senior Architect at Hoiio! I had the opportunity to speak with the CEO, Mr. Low Chee Seng, who was very down to earth and patient during our meeting. Mr. Low used to work at IBM and after that, ran the Asian business for Creative Technology (makers of the ubiquitous Sound Blaster sound cards). He explained the direction Hoiio was going to take over the next few years and it is definitely a very exciting one! I can't reveal too much at the moment but I'm so excited to be part of something that could potentially be the next Creative Technology in software.
Check back in five years to see how I'm doing! ;)
